Haihan Duan Ph.D.
I am currently an associate professor with Emotional Intelligence and Pervasive Computing Research Center & Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Joint Laboratory for Emotional Intelligence and Pervasive Computing, Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University (SMBU). Before joining SMBU, I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow with Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) Metaverse Laboratory & University of Ottawa (UOttawa) Multimedia Communications Research Laboratory (MCRLab), collaborated with Prof. Abdulmotaleb El Saddik (FIEEE, FRSC, FCAR, FEIC). Before starting the postdoctoral research, I was a visiting student with MBZUAI (2022-2023), also working with Prof. Abdulmotaleb El Saddik. I received my Ph.D. degree (2020-2023) in Computer and Infomation Engineering from School of Science and Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHKSZ) Human-Crypto Society Laboratory (HCSLab), supervised by Prof. Wei Cai, M.Eng. degree (2017-2020) from College of Computer Science, Sichuan University (SCU), supervised by Prof. Liangyin Chen, and B.Eng. degree (2013-2017) from School of Computer Science and Technology, East China Normal University (ECNU).
Research Opportunities: Our team is recruiting talented students who are interested in multimedia, Web3, metaverse, human-computer interaction, and medical image analysis.
